Radiating Hope: Radiology Department Blog

Welcome Andrew Vornberger to the Radiology Informatics Team

Welcome Andrew Vornberger to the Radiology Informatics Team

Hi, my name is Andrew Vornberger, but I go by Andy. I was born, raised, and went to school in Cincinnati. I grew up in Anderson Township and graduated from Turpin High School. I then went on to study at the University of Cincinnati to obtain a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in history. Somewhere along the way, I ended up in IT doing project management/ project coordination, and I stuck with it. I am married with two daughters (Hunter is three and Reese is one) and currently live in the Amelia area.

In a few previous roles, I worked on healthcare projects. This led me to work at Christ Hospital as an enterprise project manager before coming to Cincinnati Children’s. The role at Cincinnati Children’s interested me because I had heard how well the employees are taken care of from friends and acquaintances and, most importantly, the chance to be a part of one of the best children’s hospitals in the entire country was a no-brainer for me. I am the project manager for the Radiology Informatics enterprise imaging team, so I will be likely leading or helping out with everything related to that area.

My hobbies include reading history books, video games on occasion, collecting bourbon, and as a side job/hobby, I do carpentry work building bars and furniture. I am also very much a gym rat and try to make time in my day to exercise whenever possible.

The last book I read was The Rifle by Andrew Biggio, and I am currently reading a book on the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire, although I mostly read history books pertaining to World War II. The last movie I saw was Top Gun: Maverick
