At Cincinnati Children’s Radiology, creating positive experiences for every patient and family remains at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a first visit to one of our locations, a routine X-ray, or a more complex MRI, our team is committed to providing compassionate care that helps children and families feel comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way.
July feedback highlighted the extraordinary impact our staff members have on patients and families every day. Families consistently praised our team’s kindness, patience, and ability to connect with children during what can sometimes be stressful procedures. Below are just a few of the comments we received:

“The lady who did the x-rays on my son was so nice and she had the biggest smile. My son who is three normally doesn’t do well with people he doesn’t know. He took right to her, and I was so thankful that she was friendly and was talking to him and just made our experience so nice. I can still see her smile.”

This feedback serves as a powerful reminder that small moments of compassion can make a lasting difference for families navigating healthcare experiences.
The positive feedback received from families is reflected in our latest patient and family experience results. Radiology’s FY27 Patient and Family Experience (PFE) goal, established by the Center for PFE, is 90%. In July 2026, the department exceeded that goal with an impressive 93.21% score.
Additionally, 98.0% of patients and families agreed that they felt included in the decision-making for their child’s care, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to partnership, communication, and family-centered care.
These results are a testament to the dedication of every member of the Radiology team. From welcoming smiles and reassuring conversations to patient-centered care during procedures, these efforts help create experiences that families remember long after their visit.

Glenn Miñano is a media specialist in the Department of Radiology, providing graphic design, photography, printing, video services, and administration of the department’s online properties. His works have been published in several medical articles, such as the American Journal of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound. He has been providing these services to the Radiology Department since 1996.
