For Claire Posey of Troy, Ohio, joining Cincinnati Children’s as a radiologic technologist is more than the start of a new career. It’s the beginning of a meaningful chapter that has come full circle.
After recently graduating, Claire is excited to begin her professional journey in healthcare. What makes this opportunity especially significant is her personal connection to Cincinnati Children’s. Having been a patient for many years, she understands firsthand the impact that compassionate care can have on a patient and their family. That experience played a major role in her decision to join the organization.
“Working here as a radiologic technologist is incredibly meaningful to me,” Claire said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to now be on the other side of that experience and provide the same compassionate care that made such a difference in my life.”
Claire hopes to give back by helping patients and families feel cared for and supported during their time at the hospital. She is committed to making a positive impact through kindness, empathy, and high-quality care.
Her passion for healthcare was inspired by family as well. Growing up, Claire witnessed the dedication of her mother, a registered nurse, and saw the difference healthcare professionals made in the lives of others, including her own.
In addition to her passion for healthcare, Claire has always enjoyed working with children. This made pediatric care a natural fit and reinforced her desire to help create a positive, comforting experience for young patients during what can often be stressful hospital visits.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, baking, shopping, and reading. She also fondly remembers growing up in Troy and attending one of the community’s most beloved traditions: the Troy Strawberry Festival. The annual event fills downtown Troy with vendors, strawberry-themed treats, live music, and local shopping, creating memories that she continues to cherish.
Claire is excited to start this new chapter and looks forward to making a difference for the patients and families she serves every day.
Glenn Miñano is a media specialist in the Department of Radiology, providing graphic design, photography, printing, video services, and administration of the department’s online properties. His works have been published in several medical articles, such as the American Journal of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound. He has been providing these services to the Radiology Department since 1996.
