Our Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department is excited to announce a veteran employee moving to a new position! Billie Howard has accepted the role of radiology manager. She will oversee the outpatient radiology campuses of Liberty, Mason, Kenwood, and Centerville (opening in the spring of 2024). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science in 2010 and her master’s degree in Health Science in 2017 from Northern Kentucky University. Accomplishing this advancement goal has been a long, but worthwhile journey.
Billie has worked as a lead technologist at Liberty for the past three years. She has also been the x-ray quality improvement specialist at all of the outpatient sites for over four years. Experience in these roles, as well as 18 years of patient care, will be a huge benefit to Billie as she begins her new role.
On a personal note, Billie has been married to her husband, Dustin, for 17 years. They have three great kids. Colt is 14 and he loves PlayStation and year-round basketball. Ashton is 12 and loves animals, reading, movies, and ALL of the holidays. She is a competitive gymnast and makes Billie super nervous when she watches Ashton perform her difficult skills. Tenlee is 10. She has a magnetic personality and loves video games, friends, music, and sampling new sports. Besides spending free time with her family, Billie loves watching police dramas, Dateline, and 20/20. Interestingly, after high school, Billie wanted to work for the FBI! Her bucket list item includes someday traveling abroad, as she has never been out of the United States.
Billie is eager to work with a great team on a whole new level. She is motivated to learn new things, meet new people inside the organization, and provide support to our growing department. While being both nervous and excited about the opening of our Centerville location, Billie is honored and proud to be a leader within the #1 pediatric hospital in the country.
Angie has been part of the Cincinnati Children’s Radiology family since 1996. Over the years, she has worked in X-Ray, Cat Scan, and most recently in MRI. Currently, she is part of the Outpatient MRI Team, primarily working at the Liberty Township, Green Township, and Kenwood Campuses. Angie enjoys working in a stimulating environment and learning new things each day. In her free time, she stays active with her husband, two teenage daughters, and her Golden Retriever, Sonny.
Meredith Towbin is a freelance copy editor and writer. She has copyedited the Department of Radiology’s blog since it launched. She also works as a copy editor for the home improvement website BobVila.com. Her writing has been featured on HuffPost as well as other writing sites.
