On February 14, the Office of Academic Affairs and Career Development hosted the 14th annual Faculty Awards Ceremony to honor the outstanding and creative work of Cincinnati Children’s faculty, staff psychologists, and staff physicians. These award winners were nominated by their peers and carefully chosen by a committee of past recipients. They are dedicated individuals who go above and beyond to help children, not just in our community but around the world, making a lasting difference in many lives.
Radiology’s Dr. Andrew Trout is part of the Pancreas Care Center Team, which was awarded the Clinical Team Award. “We have a strong team at Cincinnati Children’s that focuses on pediatric pancreatitis research,” Dr. Trout says. “Our work is significant since there are few researchers focused on this disease in pediatrics.”
The Cincinnati Children’s Pancreas Care Center (PCC) was the nation’s first pediatric pancreas care center and is recognized as a Center of Excellence by the National Pancreas Foundation. The multidisciplinary PCC team is committed to being the global leaders in understanding, diagnosing, and treating pediatric pancreatic disorders. To date, they have treated over 1,000 patients from around the country and the world. Ultimately, they are driven to help children with debilitating pancreatitis clinically improve and thrive.
Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Trout and the entire Pancreas Care Center Team on receiving the Clinical Team Award! Their hard work and dedication to researching and treating pediatric pancreatitis have greatly improved the lives of children and families around the world. As leaders in their field, they continue to push the boundaries of innovation, teamwork, and excellence in pancreatic care. This well-earned recognition highlights their expertise and passion for improving children’s health. We celebrate their achievements and look forward to their continued success in advancing pediatric pancreatic treatment.
