Radiology Patient & Family Experience, March Data Updates

Radiology continues to meet—and slightly exceed—our Patient and Family Experience (PFE) goal for FY26.

The Center for PFE set Radiology’s FY26 Overall PFE Score goal at 89.0%. From July 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026, Radiology’s overall score is 89.2%, putting us just above our target. This result reflects steady, everyday work by teams across Radiology to make visits efficient, respectful, and supportive for patients and families.

What Patients and Families Are Saying

March feedback highlights what matters most to the people we serve: clear communication, smooth processes, and staff who genuinely care.

  • “The experience was the best I’ve ever had. It was very fast and Informative with care from people who really cared!”
  • “We just spent a week in Cincinnati with appointments, scans, and testing at the hospital every day. My husband and I have talked a lot about how well families are treated here. We never feel like a burden and the systems in place make everything go so smoothly. Every staff member goes above and beyond to make sure our child and our family is comfortable and that we understand what’s going on. This goes from volunteers to paid staff, custodial workers, nurses, child life workers, physicians, even kitchen staff were wearing Mickey ears and passing out stickers for Disney week. In some of the hardest times of our lives, we appreciate how much Cincinnati Children’s Hospital makes things easier. The entire team and facility has been a Godsend for us. Thank you, CCHMC!”

Moving Forward

Reaching our PFE goal is encouraging, but the real takeaway is the feedback itself. Families value:

  • Kind, clear communication
  • Staff who take time to explain what’s happening
  • Processes that make busy days easier
  • A welcoming environment for both patients and caregivers

Thank you to everyone in Radiology and across the hospital who plays a part in creating these experiences. Your work shows up in both the data and the stories—and it matters.
