Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s: What Families Are Saying

At Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department, the focus is simple: provide great care and make families feel comfortable along the way. Feedback from April shows that those efforts are making a real difference.

Real Feedback from Families

Here are a few things families had to say about their recent experiences:

“Every person I was involved with was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. The perfect trio in healthcare.”

“The nurses, techs, and doctor were very thorough and made sure I understood the results they found during my daughter’s visit…[they] had amazing bedside manner. They made my daughter as comfortable as possible for this procedure.”

“Everything was a lot quicker than I had experienced before for MRI…the staff were all super nice and helpful.”

“Every step of our experience was met with kindness and attentiveness. If we needed anything, we were shown or given what we needed. All parts of the procedure were practiced before it was implemented with my six-year-old, which lessened his anxiety knowing what to expect.”

How We’re Doing

There’s also measurable progress behind these comments:

  • FY26 Patient and Family Experience Goal: 89.0%
  • Current Score (July 2025 – March 2026): 89.5%

Radiology has already exceeded its goal for the year so far. The feedback points to a few things that matter most to families:

  • Staff who are kind and easy to talk to
  • Clear explanations of procedures and results
  • Efficient visits when possible
  • Extra care to help kids feel comfortable

These are small moments that add up to a better overall experience.
