At Cincinnati Children’s Radiology, our fellows bring diverse experiences and perspectives that strengthen our commitment to exceptional patient care. One of those individuals is Sean Ryan, a clinical fellow whose journey from North Carolina to Ohio reflects a dedication to both children’s health and lifelong learning.
Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Sean relocated to Ohio to attend medical school at the University of Cincinnati. After completing medical school, he continued his training through residency at The Ohio State University, giving him nearly a decade of experience living and learning in Ohio. Throughout his childhood, Sean enjoyed playing a variety of sports with his twin brother and spending time with family and friends at community events, including county fairs and fireworks celebrations.
Sean’s decision to pursue medicine was driven by a desire to work with children while engaging in a field that is both intellectually challenging and personally rewarding. His early exposure to Cincinnati Children’s came during medical school through elective rotations when he initially planned to become a pediatrician. Those experiences left a lasting impression. When he ultimately chose pediatric radiology, Cincinnati Children’s stood out as the ideal place to continue his training because of its longstanding reputation as a leader in pediatric healthcare and education.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys staying active and exploring new experiences. His hobbies include exercising, cooking, hiking, traveling, and collecting books, cards, and other items of interest. When it comes to learning and entertainment, his recent selections reflect both professional dedication and a love of science-based storytelling. The last book he read was Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging, while the most recent movie he watched was Project Hail Mary.
As a clinical fellow, Sean is building on a strong educational foundation while further developing the skills needed to provide exceptional imaging care for children. His commitment to pediatric medicine, passion for learning, and enthusiasm for helping young patients make him a valued member of the Cincinnati Children’s team.
Glenn Miñano is a media specialist in the Department of Radiology, providing graphic design, photography, printing, video services, and administration of the department’s online properties. His works have been published in several medical articles, such as the American Journal of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound. He has been providing these services to the Radiology Department since 1996.
