Meet Dr. Shiran Levy, Pediatric Radiology Fellow at Cincinnati Children’s

Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department is proud to welcome Dr. Shiran Levy, a physician whose journey from Jerusalem, Israel, to Cincinnati reflects a lifelong dedication to learning, discovery, and compassionate care. With a passion for medicine sparked at a young age and a deep appreciation for radiology’s problem-solving nature, Dr. Levy brings both skill and heart to her work with patients and families.

Dr. Levy was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. Growing up there fostered her resilience and curiosity and inspired her early passion for medicine. From a young age, Dr. Levy knew she wanted to become a doctor. She was drawn to radiology for its mix of analytical thinking and problem-solving: “It feels like solving puzzles every day,” she says. Working with children adds special meaning to her work, where accuracy and compassion often make an immediate difference.

Why Cincinnati Children’s?

For Dr. Levy, joining Cincinnati Children’s was an easy choice. “It’s one of the best pediatric hospitals in the world, with exceptional opportunities for learning and growth,” she explains. “Cincinnati is also a wonderful, welcoming place to raise a family.”

Training and Role

Dr. Levy completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem. At Cincinnati Children’s, she will engage in a one-year fellowship program that covers all aspects of radiology and medical imaging.

Life Outside of Medicine

Outside of work, Dr. Levy enjoys family life with her husband and four children. Together they love exploring new places and spending time outdoors. The last book she read was The Witcher: The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski, and her most recent movie night with the kids featured Nimona—a family favorite.

Conclusion

From her early experiences in Jerusalem to her current role at Cincinnati Children’s, Dr. Levy’s path has been defined by curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to excellence. Whether she’s interpreting images to guide care or spending time with her family exploring the outdoors, she embodies the balance of professional expertise and genuine warmth that makes Cincinnati Children’s such a special place. We’re thrilled to have Dr. Levy as part of our radiology team and look forward to the many ways she will continue to make a difference.
