Hello! My name is Rachel Wise, and I am excited to introduce myself as one of the diagnostic pediatric radiology fellows for the 2024-25 year at Cincinnati Children’s. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, my educational journey has taken me through several esteemed institutions in the state. I attended Indiana University (IU) in Bloomington for my undergraduate studies, then completed medical school and my radiology residency at IU in Indianapolis. This fellowship marks a significant milestone for me, as it is my first experience living outside of Indiana, and so far, it has been a wonderful adventure!
Growing up in Indiana, I have fond memories of spending time outdoors, running around and exploring nature. This appreciation for an active lifestyle continues to inspire me in both my personal and professional life. I chose to pursue my fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s because I knew it would provide me with exceptional training in pediatric radiology while allowing me to enjoy the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the Midwest.
In my downtime, I cherish spending time with my husband and our daughter as well as our two lazy, retired greyhounds. While my busy family life leaves little time for reading, I am currently engrossed in Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and am eager to finish it soon.
I look forward to my time at Cincinnati Children’s and the opportunity to contribute to the amazing work being done here. Thank you for welcoming me into this vibrant community!
Rachel Wise is a diagnostic pediatric radiology fellow for 2024-25 at Cincinnati Children’s. Originally from Indianapolis, she completed her studies and residency at Indiana University. Meredith Towbin is a freelance copy editor and writer. She has copyedited the Department of Radiology’s blog since it launched. She also works as a copy editor for the home improvement website BobVila.com. Her writing has been featured on HuffPost as well as other writing sites.
Glenn Miñano is a media specialist in the Department of Radiology, providing graphic design, photography, printing, video services, and administration of the department’s online properties. His works have been published in several medical articles, such as the American Journal of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound. He has been providing these services to the Radiology Department since 1996.
