The Fourth of July (also known as Independence Day) is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. When someone says “the fourth of July,” fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions and other ceremonies come to mind. It is the National Day of the United States, celebrating our country’s history, government, and traditions.
Traditionally, as a federal holiday a majority of US citizens have the day off to celebrate. We asked our Radiology faculty and staff, “What activities will you be doing on the fourth?” See the video below to see their responses.

Glenn Miñano is a media specialist in the Department of Radiology, providing graphic design, photography, printing, video services, and administration of the department’s online properties. His works have been published in several medical articles, such as the American Journal of Radiology and the American Institute of Ultrasound.
