Hi everyone, my name is Pyeong Hwa Kim. My name means “peace” in Korean. I know it can be a bit tricky to pronounce, so please feel free to call me Kim or PH—either works for me!
I am originally from Tongyeong, a beautiful seaside city in South Korea. Growing up there, I really enjoyed the slow pace of life and spent as much time as possible swimming in the ocean. I have always wanted a career dedicated to helping others, and I found that medicine was the best way for me to do that.

I am very excited to be joining the Radiology Fellowship program here at Cincinnati Children’s. I chose this program because of its reputation for the best clinical practice and research, and I am eager to learn from the global leaders here. My wife and my two sons have joined me, and we are all very excited to explore and grow to love the Cincinnati area together.
In my free time, I love to swim and work on creative projects, especially research. As for my recent reads, I just finished Harry Potter for the first time because of my son—we had a lot of fun with it! I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you.
