Enhancing Patient Care: Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department Welcomes Patient Perspective

The Radiology Department at Cincinnati Children’s is taking big steps to make sure patients are at the heart of everything they do. They’ve asked a member of the Patient Advisory Council (PAC) to join their Radiology Patient Experience Team. This PAC is made up of current and former patients aged 12 to 21 who meet regularly to share their thoughts and experiences, helping to make care better for everyone.

This move shows that the Radiology Department wants to connect more with the people they serve. By listening to patients directly, they hope to keep patient needs and wishes in mind when making decisions.

Starting in April 2024, the patient member will join Radiology Patient Experience meetings held every three months. This collaboration between patients and healthcare pros aims to uncover what makes a great experience in Radiology and find areas to improve.

The Radiology Patient Experience Team is excited to hear from patients themselves. They believe that by understanding what patients want and need, they can make care even better.

This teamwork shows how much Radiology cares about putting patients first and getting better all the time. By listening to patients, they’re making sure that the hospital is a place where patients feel heard and cared for.

As Radiology gets ready to work closely with patients, everyone in healthcare is excited to see how it will make a difference. By teaming up with patients, Radiology hopes to set new standards for great patient care and experiences.
