On February 14, the Office of Academic Affairs and Career Development held the 14th annual Faculty Awards Ceremony honoring the outstanding and innovative contributions of Cincinnati Children’s faculty, staff psychologists, and staff physicians. Radiology’s own Dr. James Leach was awarded the Clinical Care Achievement Award.
“James Leach, MD, is a pediatric neuroradiologist with vast clinical and research experience. He is a professor in the Department of Radiology.
Since joining Cincinnati Children’s in 2007, Dr. Leach has led several neuroimaging innovations that have improved clinical care and outcomes for children with epilepsy. He developed the Cincinnati Children’s Functional MRI (fMRI) program that has enhanced surgical outcomes. Dr. Leach also developed a best-in-class neuroimaging workflow to improve identification of subtle brain lesions and assist in locating critical targets that can be surgically addressed.
Dr. Leach is an internationally recognized leader in neuroradiology. He shares his approach and outcomes as an invited speaker at conferences around the world. Dr. Leach’s work is well published and funded with numerous peer-reviewed publications.” -Cincinnati Children’s Program Brochure
