My decision to pursue a career in the medical field stemmed from a deep desire to help patients and their families. This calling was intertwined with my fascination with human biology, pathology, and physiology. The intricate workings of the human body captivated me, and I knew that medicine was the perfect avenue to combine my interests with a meaningful and impactful career.
When it came time to choose a place for my advanced training, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital stood out. Renowned as the best children’s hospital in the country, Children’s presented an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. The chance to train and learn from the best in the field was a dream come true. Moreover, the supportive and dedicated staff at the hospital made it an ideal environment for both personal and professional growth.
Currently, I serve as a pediatric radiology fellow at Cincinnati Children’s. My responsibilities are diverse and fulfilling. I perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies and procedures, which are crucial in diagnosing and treating various pediatric conditions. Additionally, I am involved in research within the field of pediatric radiology, striving to contribute to advancements that can improve patient care. Educating others is also a key aspect of my role, as I share knowledge and guide the next generation of medical professionals.
Outside of my professional life, I have several hobbies. I enjoy playing golf and hockey, gardening, and spending time outdoors. These activities provide a perfect balance to the demands of my medical career. I’m also a big sports fan and enjoy watching my teams when I can, most notably the Detroit sports teams and the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). But most importantly, I cherish moments spent with friends and family, who are my constant source of support and joy.
In my downtime, I love to read and watch movies. The last book I read was Educated by Tara Westover, a compelling memoir that left a lasting impression on me. As for movies, I most recently watched “Shrek,” a timeless classic that never fails to entertain. Additionally, I recently completed a few great TV series, including “Succession,” “Game of Thrones,” and “The Sopranos.”
Reflecting on my journey from Gull Lake to Cincinnati Children’s, I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities that have shaped my path. I look forward to continuing my journey in the medical field, driven by a passion for helping others and a love for learning.
