Welcoming a New Administrative Fellow for 2020

Cincinnati Children’s offers an Administrative Fellowship program, which is a one-year program offering an opportunity for participants to develop an understanding of the administration and operations of a leading pediatric medical center, as well as practical experience relevant to a fellow’s field of study/work.  The fellows are generally recent graduates of healthcare administration-related master’s degree programs or other master’s level-or-above degrees that also have a background, experience, and interest in healthcare or those currently enrolled in an MHA or MBA program requiring a one-year residency/fellowship.

My name is Kenton Reason, and I am originally from Germantown, OH. I received both my Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and my Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University. My passion for improving healthcare systems to create affordable, safe, and equitable experiences for patients drove me to pursue a career in hospital administration. Cincinnati Children’s drive to be a national and international leader in pediatric care, innovation, and operational excellence motivated me to pursue a job with the organization. Also, my own experience as a child coming to Cincinnati Children’s has inspired me from a young age to give back to an organization that gave me so much.

Outside of work – my hobbies include hiking, sports (mainly Ohio State), cooking, exploring the many breweries in Cincinnati, and spending time with my fiancée and puppy.
