Hi, my name is Evan Slavik. I am an Ohio native, born in Centerville, OH. Some of my fondest memories growing up were visiting the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum and running cross-country races on Saturday mornings, although I was a terrible runner and participated for the camaraderie. I always knew I was going to pursue a career in engineering as I loved tinkering with technology and building things throughout my childhood.
I attended the Ohio State University and studied Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE). I chose ISE because it is a collaborative field with the goal of combining the right people, processes, and technology to create stable and efficient systems. Before joining Cincinnati Children’s, I worked for GE as a systems engineering consultant in the Engineering Tools Center of Excellence. I then moved to Cincinnati Children’s where I have been a senior project manager in information services for five years, primarily leading critical infrastructure projects as well as enterprise imaging projects such as the ImageMover implementation. In my current position, I will work with the imaging informatics team to continue creating and executing the roadmap for radiology informatics and enterprise imaging. I am enrolled at UC working towards an MBA.
In my free time I enjoy golfing, backpacking, biking, and watching Ohio State Football. One of my favorite vacations was to the Minnesota Boundary Waters where I spent two weeks hiking, backpacking, and canoeing. I have lived in Cincinnati since 2013 and have grown to be a Bengals and FC Cincinnati fan. I still love exploring the area and finding new restaurants to try.
