Hello, my name is Jungwhan John Choi, but you can call me John. I am one of the new radiologists at Cincinnati Children’s specializing in neuroradiology and fetal imaging.
I was born in South Korea and grew up all over the east coast but consider Atlanta to be my hometown.
I was inspired to pursue medicine by my father, who is a medicinal chemist. As a child, we would discuss over dinner how drugs like reverse transcriptase inhibitors work and I was fascinated by medicine ever since.
I am delighted to be joining the world-class team of clinicians and radiologists at Cincinnati Children’s and the Fetal Care Center. I look forward to learning from wonderful mentors and colleagues as well as a wide variety of interesting and complex cases.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. We love to visit the zoo, art museum and Graeter’s ice cream (cookies and cream with strawberry topping FTW).
The last movie I watched was Minari and the last book I read was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
