Radiology Patient Experience Update: February Highlights

At Cincinnati Children’s, our Radiology Department continues to put patients and families at the center of everything we do. Each month, we take a close look at patient experience data and comments to understand what we’re doing well and where we can continue to grow. February’s results reflect the dedication, compassion, and professionalism our teams bring to every interaction.

This February, 98.4% of patients and families agreed that they trust Cincinnati Children’s to take care of their needs. Trust is one of the most meaningful indicators of quality in healthcare, and this number reflects the consistent effort our teams make to create a safe, supportive environment for every child.

Families also shared strong feedback about their experience with our Radiology staff. 94.4% agreed that our team:

  • Treated them with courtesy and respect
  • Listened carefully
  • Explained things in a way they understood
  • Responded to concerns and complaints
  • Showed concern for their comfort
  • Prioritized their child’s safety

These qualities are the foundation of excellent pediatric care, and they shine through in every part of the patient journey—from check?in to imaging to follow?up.

The numbers tell one story, but the comments from families bring that story to life. Here are a few highlights from February:

“Competence and compassion immediately emanate from each team member I interact with. I don’t know how you do it. I felt heard and that my concerns were addressed seriously before the procedure.”

“I wish I could just hand out gold stars to everyone I interacted with. Thank you. Sincerely, thank you so much.”

“We waited maybe three minutes before being called back. They were great with my daughter and even let my son help out to make him feel included!”

“From check?in to leaving, our experience was seamless.”

February’s patient experience results highlight the incredible work happening across Radiology every day. Whether it’s a warm greeting, a clear explanation, or a moment of kindness that helps a child feel at ease, each interaction contributes to the trust families place in us. As we move forward, we remain committed to listening, improving, and providing the highest level of care to every patient who walks through our doors.
