Radiology Hits a Milestone in Number of Studies Read

Not long ago, we would have been surprised if our radiologists read 800 studies a day. Now, reading 900 studies is common, and on October 11, 2023, for the first time, we performed over 1,000 exams across our system in the Department of Radiology. That is a remarkable number and speaks to the care that more and more patients and families are seeking from Cincinnati Children’s as well as the importance of imaging within our patients’ medical journeys.

On top of these volumes, last month we had our lowest Right Patient Right Exam (RPRE) rate in almost a year. Not only are our staff and faculty performing a record number of exams, but they are also performing them even more safely.
