New Employees to Our Radiology Lineup

There are some new faces in our Radiology department! Please welcome Jay, Liv, Cara, Emma, and Olivia and learn a little bit about them below.

Joshua “Jay” Jordan

I am Joshua Jay Jordan, but you can call me Joshua or Josh, Jay, JJ, or Triple J. I am a born and raised Cincinnatian, though I have moved around a bit within Greater Cincinnati. I attended Roosevelt Elementary (K-1), Westwood Elementary (2-3), Monfort Heights Elementary (4-5), White Oak Middle School (6), Pleasant Ridge Elementary (6), Princeton Jr High (7-8), and Princeton High School (9-12). Growing up in Cincinnati provided invaluable lessons in diversity as I encountered people of various backgrounds, which I very much appreciate.

I chose this career path after completing my undergrad capstone, Health Communication, and decided to pivot from call center-based Customer Service & Sales to Public Health. Cincinnati Children’s has a stellar reputation that reaches well beyond our city limits and offers a positive working environment along with great career opportunities. I am starting as a clinical research coordinator III at the Imaging Research Center and am very excited to be here! The last several books I read were for school; for pleasure, I like to read The Forgotten Realms series, especially entries written by R.A. Salvatore, though I’m a couple years behind. The last movie I saw was Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, which I enjoyed and recommend.

EDWARDS, LIV_DSC_0280_915X430

Liv Edwards

Hi, my name is Olivia (Liv) Edwards, and I grew up north of Cincinnati. Growing up, I loved going on family walks to the local Dairy Queen, being involved in 4H, and spending as much time as possible outside, usually looking at insects.

I will soon graduate from the University of Cincinnati Advanced Medical Imaging Technology program, certified in magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine. I could not be more excited to join the MRI team at Cincinnati Children’s; it’s been a dream! Working in a nationally recognized hospital and being able to make the radiology experience a positive one for every family is something I am ecstatic about! I knew I always had a love for healthcare, and radiology quickly became a great fit for me.

In my free time, I love to be outside hiking, kayaking, spending time with family and friends, and adventure around the Cincinnati area. The last movie I watched was The Lorax. I am also a huge fan of TV series on Netflix. The last book I read was Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund.

CONRAD, CARA_DSC_0298_915X430

Cara Conrad

Hi, I’m Cara Conrad and I grew up in Kenwood, OH. A fond memory I have about growing up in Kenwood was that the original (local favorite hometown) Graeter’s Ice Cream shop was in my neighborhood. I made a lot of trips to that shop in the sweltering summer months.

I have spent most of my time training in martial arts, starting at nine years old. I earned my black belt in 2015 and competed in multiple state and national championships. The styles I trained in were Taekwondo and Tang Soo Do.

I have always wanted to go into the medical field. While I am working as an administrative assistant in radiology, I am currently in school to be an ultrasound technician.

Cincinnati Children’s has a lot to offer. I love that if my path changes, I can find different placements within the hospital. I’m extremely excited to work in a positive environment.

In my free time, I try and go to the golfing range. Right now, I am reading Everything Happens for a Reason, and the last movie I saw was Cocoa with my boyfriend’s sister.

LUCAS, EMMA_DSC_0407_915X430

Emma Lucas

Hi! My name is Emma Lucas, and I am an ultrasound technologist. I graduated from Cincinnati State in May 2022 and am excited to start my ultrasound career at Cincinnati Children’s! I was a patient at Cincinnati Children’s for many years as a child, which sparked my interest in wanting to work here.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors. I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the team here and cannot wait to see where this career takes me!

CATANZARO, OLIVIA_DSC_0305_915x430

Olivia Catanzaro

You might recognize Olivia Catanzaro. Olivia was a former radiology employee, working as a reading room assistant. In 2021, Olivia decided to work in another department of the hospital called the Cancer Blood Disease Institute. She is back with us again as the new administrative supervisor for the reading room assistants.

We’ve already introduced Olivia in a previous blog article. If you are interested in reading her short biography, click here.
