Meet Brooke Hamilton, Cincinnati Children’s New Radiologic Technologist

Hi, everyone! My name is Brooke Hamilton, and I recently joined the Cincinnati Children’s team as a radiologic technologist.

I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio, and some of my favorite memories include spending time with family and friends, enjoying local events, and exploring different parts of the city. Growing up in Cincinnati has given me a strong connection to the community, which makes it even more meaningful to work at Cincinnati Children’s.

I decided to join the medical field because I have always been interested in helping others and wanted a career where I could make a positive difference in people’s lives. Radiologic technology especially interested me because it combines patient care, technology, and problem-solving. I enjoy being able to use imaging to help physicians diagnose and treat patients while also making patients feel as comfortable and safe as possible.

I chose Cincinnati Children’s because of its commitment to providing exceptional care to children and families. I wanted to work somewhere that values teamwork, compassion, and making a difference in the community. It is rewarding to be part of an organization where everyone works together to provide the best possible experience and care for patients.

As a radiologic technologist, my duties include preparing patients for imaging exams; safely operating imaging equipment; producing high-quality diagnostic images; following radiation safety guidelines; and working closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. An important part of my job is also helping patients and families feel comfortable and explaining the imaging process in a way they can understand.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and watching new movies and shows. The last show I watched was One Tree Hill.

I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and continuing to grow as part of the Cincinnati Children’s team!
