The Radiology and Anesthesia Imaging Departments have a symbiotic relationship in our MRI Division. Our MRI technologist acquires the MRI images and anesthesia nurses and doctors help our patients go to sleep to prevent movement in the scanner and alleviate anxiety.
Anna Lee takes on the title of Clinical Director of Anesthesia Imaging from her predecessor Lois Curtwright, who retired from Cincinnati Children’s with 37 years under her belt. Anna was a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse for almost fifteen years, six of which she was a manager. She was a part of many projects, including CLABSI Prevention, Pyxis and Supply Room optimization, and Joy in Work. One of her favorite parts of being a leader in the PICU was watching people find their passion and running with it, making the care we give our patients better and better every day.
Outside of Cincinnati Children’s, Anna is a partner in the Lamp Storytelling, an initiative to help nurses uncover their own stories that shape them into the healthcare providers they are and bring them back day after day to care for their patients, peers, and colleagues. In sharing these stories, nurses across all specialties and generations are united and healed. Anna has three daughters who are her biggest cheerleaders and you will hear her brag about them often.
She is always looking for book and podcast recommendations, so if you have any, swing by her office and share them with her! She is very excited to learn and grow with this team over the coming years and is deeply grateful for the warm welcome she has received.
