January 2023 Radiology Patient Experience Update

How are we doing?

In December 93.7% of the 286 families surveyed gave Radiology a positive score for “Overall rating of facility.”

The FY23 Goal is 92%

Family Feedback

In December, 96% of the survey comments were positive.

The technologist did a wonderful job during and after our disabled teenager’s procedure. She ensured that our concerns and questions were addressed by seeing if an attending doctor was available to talk to me. The doctor was courteous and did a wonderful job answering our questions. Thank you! “

Beth, our technician, was outstanding! She explained everything in detail and was very knowledgeable and empathetic.

Molly was the best ultrasound tech. She was so amazingly patient with my daughter. You could tell she’s very experienced with children and cares deeply for their physical and mental well-being and made a potentially scary experience for my two-year-old so positive and happy. Thank you for hiring such a great employee.”

Melissa was absolutely phenomenal. This was such a scary thing for us, and we were very nervous. She was kind and compassionate, reassuring, incredibly knowledgeable, and understanding. She was our point of contact and kept us well informed and continually checked in on us or let us know what to expect. She was absolutely fantastic and made this experience much better than we thought it would be. We highly recommend Cincinnati Children’s!”

The woman who performed the X-ray was wonderful. I was so impressed by how she put my daughter’s anxiety at ease by explaining everything to her; she was so reassuring and compassionate. It was almost as if she knew my daughter was scared. However, she really helped make her feel comfortable and not nervous. She went above and beyond. Thank you! “

The staff that worked with my daughter were excellent! The two tech assistants were kind, patient, and explained everything to calm her anxieties. They made her feel at ease. The radiologist explained everything throughout the procedure, and it was a very relaxed experience. The staff all seemed to be very knowledgeable and made a really strange and uncomfortable situation feel very easy and relaxed. Your staff in this department is phenomenal and are definitely the best team for this job.”

I can’t remember the names of the two women that took care of my son, but they were great!!! This is his fourth MRI (his first at this facility) and this was his best experience yet! They treated it like it was his first, which I appreciated! It is a nerve-racking experience regardless of how many times one has done it, especially a kid. They checked on him often, offered him food and drink after, and took the time needed to let the cream work prior to his IV stick. Great job to all and so appreciative to a family that has traveled 4.5 hour to receive care! “

This was my son’s first experience with Radiology. I sent him back with the tech alone and he did great. She made him feel so at ease. Also, the registration team was so warm and friendly. We will use the Anderson facility if future Radiology needs arise. Thank you!”

I’ve now had two sessions of sclerotherapy at Cincinnati Children’s. Everyone who has worked with me through this has been amazing. I can’t thank Dr. Patel and his team, every nurse, and everyone else who has helped enough. Thank you for the amazing care.”

This is one of the best experiences we’ve had in the last couple days with Children’s Hospital. They deserve a five stars out of five stars.”
