Dr. Jennifer Nicholas, MD, MHA, Med, joins our faculty as our new section chief of Ultrasound. A former Cincinnati Children’s fellow, Dr. Nicholas has worked at Akron Children’s, Lurie Children’s in Chicago, and Saint Louis Children’s. Most recently, she has been the division chief of Pediatric Radiology at Rainbow Babies Hospital in Cleveland and the vice chair of Education at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Nicholas is a passionate educator and proponent of ultrasound and its positive impact on pediatric health. In addition to efforts in this country, she has had extensive and ongoing clinical and educational outreach work in Haiti, Central and South America, and Africa.
Dr. Nicholas takes over one of the world’s premier pediatric ultrasound sections from Dr. Sally O’Hara, who has led the section since 2000 and took over from one of the founders of pediatric ultrasound, Dr. Diane Babcock. We look forward to Dr. Nicholas’ leadership as we continue to advance pediatric ultrasound imaging.
Welcome, Jennifer, back to our Radiology department or, better yet, welcome back home.
