Editor’s note: This is the fourth part in a series of blog posts describing how the construction of Cincinnati Children’s new Critical Care Building will affect the MRI services in the Radiology Department. The previous posts described why the construction may impact our MRI services, how we are using physics and new technology to monitor for changes in image quality of our MRI scanners, and our new Erkenbrecher MRI Location. Today’s blog post describes our new Saturday MRI appointments at our Liberty Campus location. Keep checking back on our blog for more exciting news!
We are excited to announce several changes to our weekend outpatient MRI services. Starting on Saturday, September 22, 2018, our weekend outpatient MRI will move to our Liberty Campus. In addition to the move, we will also be our increasing the hours we are able to perform an MRI for your child. We now will offer appointments from 7 am to 3:30 pm each Saturday. Appointments under sedation and/or general anesthesia are available during most of these hours. We hope that these changes make it even easier for you to schedule an appointment for your child’s MRI.
We are making these changes during the construction of the new Critical Care Buiding at our Burnet location. We’ll continue performing MRIs on Saturdays at our Liberty campus as long as the construction affects the images the MRI machines generate. Once the heavy digging related to the construction of the Critical Care Building is complete, we will evaluate whether the Saturday MRIs should continue at our Liberty Campus.
Our weekday hours at our Liberty Campus will remain the same, Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm, and we will continue to have the exact same exceptional staff to support your every MRI need.
To schedule your MRI appointment at the Liberty Campus, please call (513) 636-3200.
