Hello!
My name is Elizabeth “Liz” England, and I’m from Woodbury, Minnesota—a suburb of the Twin Cities. Growing up in Minnesota was (unsurprisingly) cold for much of the year, but it was a wonderful place to spend my childhood. In the summers, my older brother and I spent most of our time outside with our next-door neighbors—biking, running around the neighborhood lake, playing on the swing set, or fishing. Winters brought their own kind of fun: sledding down our neighbor’s massive hill, skiing, and snowmobiling.

I was introduced to medicine early on, as many of my family members worked in the field—either as physicians or nurses. From a young age, I knew I wanted to follow a similar path. Throughout college and medical school, I focused on opportunities tied to pediatrics and neurology, including research and student organizations. During medical school, I was fortunate to be mentored by a pediatric radiologist who welcomed me into her world. I spent a month on a radiology rotation shadowing her, writing case reports, and learning alongside the residents. It didn’t take long for me to realize how special radiology was!
What drew me to the fellowship program at Cincinnati Children’s was the people. From my first interactions, I felt at ease and welcomed, and I knew this was a place where I’d receive outstanding training and support.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my newborn son, husband, family, and friends. I also love baking, hiking, Pilates, and yoga. The last movie I watched was Jurassic World Rebirth, and the most recent book I read with my son was It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles Shaw.
