March Radiology Patient Experience Update

In January, 93.2% of the 366 families surveyed gave Radiology a positive score for “Overall rating of facility.”

This exceeds the Radiology FY 24 goal of 92.0% positive!

The radiologist was great! He made my child feel relaxed and comfortable and engaged in conversation to relieve her stress and worry!

I’m not sure the name of the tech, but she was so kind and told us exactly what to do to and where to hold to make sure we only needed one X-ray for our wild one year old. She was so quick.

Hi, I would like to recognize Arlene. She was my son’s nurse who took care of him before, during, and after his procedure. She was absolutely wonderful. She was so sweet and caring and kind and great to explain the process and the steps as to what was going to happen. We were very blessed to have Arlene take such wonderful care of our family. So please thank her for us.

Overall, our experience was really wonderful. This is the first time either of my children have had this procedure so I was very nervous. The staff was very warm and happy to explain the process. I was very impressed with the facility as a whole. I was personally stressed at arrival, but from the signage in the parking garage to the app that allowed me to watch the progress of my son’s procedure, every detail helped ease my nerves. Thank you!

We were supposed to be there all day but were able to be seen earlier, so that was very good. So, we were able to leave earlier. It was very much appreciated. We love your hospital.

Heather Thompson, the radiology tech, was friendly, accommodating, easy for me and my 6-year-old to talk to, and gave me confidence with the procedure taking place.

We traveled 5 hours to come to this facility. Everything was so efficient. Every person we met was friendly and helpful. You all are doing a great job. Thank you for making us feel welcome and making it easy.

Erin, who took us back for MRI, was lovely. My son made a comment that she made him comfortable and liked that she treated him like a 12 year old, not a child. He was thankful Erin was there to ease his nerves.

We were so thankful to have Josiah and the child life specialist in our room for the procedure on this day. It made things go much more smoothly. It just really honestly changed the whole atmosphere of the environment. I felt like my daughter felt more comfortable. Jen was wonderful. My daughter had had a lot of previous bad experiences (not at Cincinnati Children’s). They listened to our concerns, and they were able to help her and make the procedure go as smoothly as possible. So, for that, I’m very thankful.

Andrea the technologist was beyond awesome! It felt like we were lifelong friends but at the same time she was very professional with the medical aspect of things. Her care and attention for my daughter were top notch!
