Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department welcomes Kelsey Meirose as the new operations manager for the Radiology Access/Flow team. In this role, Kelsey will oversee a talented group, including reading room assistants (RRAs), patient family engagement specialists, and child life specialists. Her focus aligns seamlessly with Cincinnati Children’s mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a nurturing environment. Kelsey is particularly inspired by the institution’s holistic approach, which prioritizes not just treating medical conditions but supporting the whole child and their family.
A Cincinnati Native Returns to Her Roots
Born and raised in the charming suburb of Wyoming, Kelsey has deep ties to the Cincinnati area. Her fond memories of growing up in this close-knit community are now part of her family’s life, as she and her husband, AJ, and their son, Max, live just a block away from her childhood home.
Kelsey recalls joyful summers spent at the Wyoming Swim Club, where early morning swim practices turned into long days at the pool with friends. This small-town atmosphere, where you can walk almost anywhere and always see familiar faces, remains a cornerstone of her love for her hometown.
Balancing Work, Family, and Fun
Kelsey’s passion for building connections extends beyond her professional life. A former competitive volleyball player, she still enjoys playing in a sand volleyball league with childhood friends. When she’s not on the court, she spends her time walking, attending local community events, and making cherished memories with her family and friends.
Her young son, Max, adds a playful dimension to her life, especially during family movie nights. Toy Story is a household favorite, with Max eagerly shouting “yee-haw” whenever Woody makes an appearance. For herself, Kelsey recently enjoyed reading Fourth Wing, a captivating fantasy novel.
Looking Ahead
As she steps into her new role at Cincinnati Children’s, Kelsey is excited to lead her team in fostering positive patient experiences and supporting families throughout their care journey. Her combination of professional dedication, community connection, and personal warmth makes her a perfect fit for Cincinnati Children’s mission.
