Hi, my name is Tracee Wee and I am one of the new pediatric radiology fellows at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital! I was born and raised in the Philippines before my family and I moved to Vancouver, Canada, where I completed all my medical training.
The move to North America opened a lot of opportunities for us, and one of things I loved was going to our local library and borrowing all sorts of books, which is something we didn’t have in the Philippines. I read lots of science books, with biology being one of my favorite topics.
This interest led me to pursue a science degree in university. Because I also wanted to help people as a career, I eventually decided to go into medicine. It took me a while to decide on radiology once I was in medicine, but I haven’t looked back since!
I chose to come to Cincinnati Children’s for my subspecialty pediatric radiology training since this center is a leader in pediatric health, including in medical imaging. I am excited to be working and learning from the best!
Outside of medicine, I love traveling and being outdoors. I also enjoy physically challenging myself and participating in Spartan obstacle course races or Decathlon of Functional Fitness (DEKA) competitions when I get the chance. When I’m not running around, I do like watching rom-coms and comedy movies; the last movie I watched was “Red Notice” on Netflix.
