From Liberty Township to Ohio State: Heather Strauss’s Journey and Passions

I hail from Liberty Township, Ohio, a place that holds a lot of fond memories for me. My educational journey took me to The Ohio State University (OSU), where I had the privilege of studying and growing in one of the state’s most vibrant and diverse communities. My time at OSU shaped much of who I am today, both academically and personally.

Outside of my studies as a radiologic technologist, I have always been passionate about a range of hobbies that keep me active and inspired. Reading is one of my favorite ways to unwind, allowing me to explore new ideas and escape into different worlds. Running is another key part of my life; it gives me a sense of freedom and clarity, whether I’m tackling a new trail or simply enjoying a peaceful jog in my neighborhood.

However, what truly brings me joy is traveling. I have a special affinity for exploring new destinations, with Disney World, national parks, and lakes being at the top of my list. Disney World holds a magical allure, offering a blend of nostalgia and adventure that I can never get enough of. On the other hand, national parks provide me with the opportunity to connect with nature and admire the breathtaking beauty of our planet. There’s also something incredibly soothing about spending time near lakes—the tranquility and serene environment make it a perfect escape.

Family is also an important aspect of my life. I am one of four siblings, and growing up in a bustling household taught me the values of love, support, and togetherness. We’ve shared countless memories that have shaped who I am today.

While Liberty Township is where my story began, my journey through Ohio State, my hobbies, and the places I’ve explored continue to define who I am. Whether it’s diving into a good book, running, or embarking on a new travel adventure, I’m constantly inspired by the world around me and the people I share it with.
