Additionally, Betul E. Derinkuyu, MD, has been promoted from instructor to assistant professor.
These promotions reflect dedication to advancing pediatric imaging, mentoring trainees, conducting impactful research, and delivering exceptional care to children and families. Through their expertise and commitment, these faculty members have strengthened both Cincinnati Children’s and the University of Cincinnati’s shared mission of improving child health through discovery, education and clinical excellence.
On August 6, 1926, the University of Cincinnati and Children’s Hospital formalized a relationship that would shape the future of pediatric healthcare, medical education, and academic medicine in the region. Visionary leaders, including Albert Graeme Mitchell, MD; William Cooper Procter; Frederick Hicks, MD, president of the University of Cincinnati; and Arthur C. Bachmeyer, MD, dean of the College of Medicine, helped establish a collaborative foundation that continues to thrive today.

In this tradition of academic excellence, the University of Cincinnati provides the academic appointments for Cincinnati Children’s faculty.
Please join us in congratulating these faculty members on their promotions and thanking them for their dedication to pediatric radiology and academic medicine. We look forward to their continued contributions to Cincinnati Children’s, the University of Cincinnati, and the patients and families they serve.
