Radiology Access Improvement Achieves Faster MRI Appointments | Cincinnati Children’s Expo

Liz Hood and Natalie Stanescu presented their Radiology Access Improvement work at the Cincinnati Children’s Improvement Expo on October 28. Specifically, they presented the great strides our Radiology department and Anesthesia Imaging has made to decrease our 3rd next available appointment for a 1-hour MRI with anesthesia from 41 days to 11 days. Some interventions for the project included adding extra anesthesia providers, template work, pre-call modifying, and decision tree question changes. All of this would not have been possible without the Access Improvement team leadership, but especially all the anesthesia imaging/MRI staff who have been consistently working to achieve our goal.
