Cincinnati Children’s Radiology is thrilled to welcome Allison Mills as one of its newest Radiologic Technologists. Born and raised in the small town of Princeton, West Virginia, Allison has always harbored a desire to work in the medical field. It wasn’t until her senior year of high school that she discovered her true calling in radiology. In 2022, she graduated from Bluefield State College with a degree in Radiologic Technology, and since then, she has been eager to make a difference in patients’ lives through her work.
For Allison, radiology isn’t just about imaging—it’s about creating a positive experience for patients who may be feeling anxious or scared during their hospital visit. She believes that a compassionate and kind radiologic technologist can make all the difference in easing a patient’s stress. “When a patient goes through an imaging procedure, they are often scared and worried. A kind radiology technologist can make all the difference in a patient’s imaging experience,” she explains.
Allison is excited to bring this mindset to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, where she looks forward to working with pediatric patients and helping make their time in the hospital as comfortable as possible. The hospital’s stellar reputation and commitment to patient care drew her to the role, and she is eager to be part of the team.
When she’s not at work, Allison enjoys watching and playing basketball. As a passionate West Virginia University (WVU) basketball fan, she cheers on the Mountaineers with enthusiasm. “Go Mountaineers!” she says, reflecting her deep love for the sport and her alma mater.
Allison’s dedication to both her career and her patients, along with her enthusiasm for working with children, makes her an excellent addition to the Cincinnati Children’s team. We are excited to see the positive impact she will have on the lives of the patients and families she serves.
